[0:02] My name is Tim Wiedemeyer. I'm 21 years old. I'm a Division I
[0:06] golfer at Texas Tech University. My major is applied personal finance,
[0:12] and I'm a student athlete. I started playing golf when I was six years old with my parents.
[0:18] For me, basically everything revolves around that goal,
[0:23] and playing Division I golf at school helped me get there. So that's why I
[0:27] came to college in the first place: to help me play on the PGA Tour. Right now,
[0:33] basically everything I do is aiming toward that goal, whether it's with the team or not.
[0:39] I'd say it's just hard as a golfer who isn't a golf coach to identify what is not going well
[0:49] and fix your golf swing. That can be very challenging, especially when your coach is
[0:57] in a different country. For me, for example, my coach and I have a seven-hour time difference,
[1:02] so it's hard for us to meet at a time that works because he also has other players.
[1:09] So BirdieSense really helps me practice, get my stuff in line, give me all the numbers that
[1:16] I need, and then provide me with good feedback to tell me how I can improve and what I can do
[1:23] differently. It gives us a little chart to see our data compared to each other—when we play well,
[1:33] what the data looks like, and when we play badly, what the data looks like.
[1:36] I feel like it's kind of similar to a TrackMan or a GCQuad. They show you the data,
[1:42] whereas BirdieSense gives you all those numbers as well, but it also explains the
[1:47] numbers and gives you feedback on how you can improve and what you can do better.
[1:55] We have one TrackMan, which is around $24,000, whereas BirdieSense is only hundreds of dollars,
[2:03] which I feel is a very great price to get similar numbers and have someone
[2:09] explain all the numbers to you. With a TrackMan, I also have to have someone
[2:14] explain it to me. Not having to have a golf coach there is very helpful for me.
